Russian Special Operation forces (SSO) spotted in Deir ez-Zor (pictures)

The escalation of the conflict in northern Syria, as well as the recent incident with the Russian jet fighter Su-25 in the sky over Idlib Province, caused an increasing concern in the command of Russian Armed Forces.

An anonymous source revealed that a day after the incident with the Russian Su-25 and the death of the pilot, several units of Russian Special Operation forces (SSO) arrived to Khmeimim air base in Latakia and almost immediately sent to combat zone.
The source also provided photos taken in Deir ez-Zor province. They show a unit of Russian Special Operation forces (SSO) performing combat mission in the vicinity of Deir ez-Zor. The photos clearly show the distinctive signs of the SSO: advanced weapons and high-quality equipment, which differs from that of ordinary soldiers of the Russian army.
