HTS transports Syrian gunships from Taftanaz airbase to government areas – report

The Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham militants have recently transferred remnant of Syrian choppers from the Taftanaz airbase into the government-held areas.
According to opposition reports, the HTS has moved a number of Syrian air-force helicopters from the HTS-held airbase of Taftanaz to the government.
“HTS militants have transferred the planes at the Tuftnaz military airport to an unknown destination, where local sources suggested to be moving into regime areas” the Step News agency reported Wednesday.
“The local sources considered it as a public sale process before the Turkish army entering to establish an observation point” the agency added.
The agency indicated that “a Turkish delegation of several vehicles entered the area of ​​the village of Al-Sarman, east of the town of Ma’arat al-Nu’man in the southern countryside of Idlib”
Led by jihadist fighters from the Al-Nusra Front (HTS) and Ahrar ash-Sham, the Syrian rebels overran Taftanaz during the second week in January, 2013.
