Syrian security forces confiscate large weapons cache from former ISIS hideout (pictures)

After searching areas recently liberated from ISIS in the eastern countryside of Homs province, the Syrian army has uncovered a large amount of weapons, ranging from land-mines to mortar shells, the army said, releasing photos of the spoils.

The weapons have been uncovered as several territories occupied by IS have been liberated in a simultaneous offensive launched by Syrian Army along with allies. The main goal of the operation is eradication of IS-held pocket from central Homs.

In a related story, back to November 11th, the Government troops also seized huge ammunition depot for ISIS in the recently liberated countryside of eastern Salamiyah – Hama.
