Egypt Executes 15 Terrorists For Role in Sinai Attacks

Egypt executed 15 militants today, who were recently convicted of being involved in last month’s terrorist attacks – which left over 300 Egyptians killed – in the Sinai Peninsula.

The executions took place today morning in two prisons in northern Egypt, according to a military source cited by the Reuters news agency.

The attack drew international condemnation, and prompted Egyptian security forces to launch a number of military operations against hard-line militants operating in the Sinai.
