Russia sends long-range strategic bombers in an assignment to pound the Islamic state positions amid ground troops advance in the oil-rich city of Deir Ezzor.
”Six Russian bombers ( Tu-22m3) have struck targets of ISIS near the key city of Al-Bokamal in Deir Ezzor province”, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“The bombers were covered by Su-30SM fighters from the airfield of Hmeimim in Syria’s Lattakia” the source said.
