VIDEO: Russian officers train new Syrian conscripts in training field

The Russian military begin training reservists of the government forces in order to acquire, develop their capabilities to get ready for deployment in the battlefields across the war-torn country.

Video report was released by “Russia-24” TV – online – features scenes of Russian military instructors training Syrian soldiers in army barrack in Damascus suburbs.

In 2016, the Russian Army trained and equipped the so-called ‘5th Legion’ to combat ISIS in central Syria. At the time, thousands of Syrians volunteered to become part of this Russian-trained wing of the SAA.
