Syria Map Update : ISIS overruns dozens of villages in Hama’s northern countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the Islamic State (IS) terror group seized over 20 villages and towns in Hama’s northern countryside following the al-Qaeda affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra’s withdrawal from the area.

The Observatory added that ISIS was able to capture these all these towns in the span of 6 days as Nusra attempts to counterattack to recover its losses in this troubled region of the war torn country.

According to SOHR, the terrorist group was able to seize the towns of Abu Hariq, Abu al-Kusoor, Ma’asaran, Atshanah, Abyan, Jub Zariq, al-Shiha, Surooj, Alya, Abu Murro, Abu al-Khanadeq, Wastiya, Samiriya, Rasm al-Skaf, Janat al-Sawarneh, Tuwal al .. ( MAP )

Earlier , the Syrian forces managed to kick out HTS jihadists from key village of Al-Mustariha located 3 km south of main terrorists stronghold of Al-Rahajan in Hama countryside.
