Map update: Al-Qaeda jihadists launch massive attack in northern Hama, 2 hamlets captured

Today afternoon, the terror group of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched massive offensive targeting the government forces’ positions in the northern countryside of Hama province.

As a result of the heavy bombarding by the HTS, the defensive forces weren’t able to hold their positions, that forced them to retreat, according to Syrian reporters.

With the HTS collapse in the northeastern countryside of Hama, the HTS is trying to open new front in order to distract SAA efforts, as 2 hamlets of ‘Um Tarikah, Um Khazeem’ were captured.

At the meantime, Syrian artillery is shelling the lost areas in a bid to pave a way for ground troops to counter attack the HTS jihadists, military source told Muraselon.

Elsewhere in the province, the Syrian Army regained control over ‘Sarha Shumali’ village, located on the southern gate of main HTS bastion of Al-Rahajan.
