BREAKING MAP: Syrian units fully secure major base in eastern Damascus

Few days ago, the jihadist rebels of Ahrar Alsham along with Faylaq Al-Rahman launched surprise offensive targeting the military vehicles base, seizing some outposts in Harasta suburb eastern Damascus.

In response, the Syrian troops initiated counter-assault – on Sunday – to regain the lost points at the perimeter of the vehicles base.

Today, the Army was able to oust the rebels, retaking the main base building and vehicles maintenance building, establishing full control over the military vehicles base.

At the meantime, the engineering units of the Syrian army are working on dismantling the IEDs were planted by the jihadist rebels in the main base building.

On Saturday, a special force squad of the Syrian army, managed to blast key jihadists building located near the major government vehicles base in Harasta district.
