Courageous Syrian pilots arouse admiration of Russian Army, says Russian newspaper

According to Russian newspaper Kommersant, Russian pilots who were assigned to carry out missions in Syria expressed their astonishment over the consummate skill and courge of Syrian pilots flying with L-39 Albatros light-attack warplanes.

L-39 pilots are reportedly had a significant role in the recent campaigns in Syria eastern Badia [desert] where they offered an effective aerial support to Syrian Arab Army (SAA) units on the ground.

Syrian government procured L-39 Albatros airplanes initially as training aircraft but given the dire need of SAA for close air support .

Syrian engineers equipped L-39 planes with different air-to-surface missiles and additional fuel tank.
