Syria Map Update: Syrian Army advances against ISIS in central Syria

The Syrian Army’s full-scale military campaign in central Syria continues with the Islamic State losing more ground.

A military source told Muraselon that the government forces liberated the towns of al-Shinakhiah al-Shimaliah and Abu Jreis along with several hilltops, all located in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Meanwhile in the eastern countryside of Hama, Army units continue to press on Abu Hanaya town after retreating from it last night following an ISIS suicide attack which had left 4 soldiers dead.

The Syrian ground forces are being propelled by heavy Syrian and Russian airstrikes, which precisely destroyed ISIS positions and hideouts.

The terrorist group is showing fierce resistance in defending its enclave stretching in the eastern countryside of Homs and Hama.
