Syria Map Update: ISIS reign dwindling in east Homs

A small enclave controlled by the Islamic State  in east Homs is being continuously attacked by the Syrian Armed Forces and allies following the remarkable victories achieved in east Hama countryside.

ISIS terrorists have been expelled from several villages in this enclave located near Jubb al-Jarrah, including Umm Sahreij town which is considered the main bastion for the extremist militants.

This progress has been substantially aided by the Russian Air Force which continues to conduct ongoing airstrikes against ISIS positions and hideouts in the area.

Recently, the Syrian Army units liberated Salba power plant which is situated near Qalib al-Thor village to the east of the oil pipeline in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah city.
