In motion: Moment Deir Ezzor siege is broken

Video footage published minuets ago, by state media reporter, from the battlefield of Deir Ezzor, features moment Syrian troops who trapped for 3 years meeting with the siege breaking “Tiger forces” at the perimeter of 137 regiment.

Syrian government troops and allied fighters, backed by Russian air support, have been advancing for weeks towards Deir Ezzor city, capital of oil-rich Deir Ezzor province, which borders Iraq.

According to AFP, around 100,000 people are believed to be inside government-held areas of Deir Ezzor, with perhaps 10,000 more in parts of the city held by ISIS.
