Deir Ezzor Map Update : Syrian Army pushes north, close to enter Raqqa countryside

The Syrian Army continues to fight the Islamic State in different parts of Deir Ezzor, making rapid progress and liberating several villages and towns.

Today, the Army units in the northern axis of the city managed to restore Hulaibah, Zulaibah, and Qasbi from Islamic state jihadists, advancing towards Ma’adan, a military source confirmed to Muraselon website.

The recent advance aims at controlling the whole area located along the western bank to link up with the government troops in the southeastern countryside of Raqqa , only 9 Km to Ma’adan which located in eastern Raqqa countryside , the source added.

Earlier on Friday , the government forces – supported by heavy Russian airstrikes – managed to liberate Khasham village near Mazloum on the eastern flank of Euphrates.
