AMN: Syrian Army, rebels agree to terms of surrender in southern Damascus

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Free Syrian Army (FSA) have agreed to terms in the Al-Qadam District of southern Damascus after a successful round of negotiations this week.

According to a military source in Damascus, the SAA gave the rebels one last chance to surrender the Al-Qadam District before their forces moved in to clear the areas of all militants.

The rebels agreed to terms of surrender, which will be put in place after their forces are transported from southern Damascus to an undisclosed location in northern Syria.

The location will likely be the Idlib Governorate, as the government would not want to transport any militants to rural Aleppo unless they agreed to go to the border-city of Jarabulus.
