Syrian forces tighten the noose around ISIS in east Hama countryside

With the Islamic States’ militants are now trapped in east Hama pocket, the Syrian Army continues to grab more territories in bid to take over the group’s stronghold of Uqayribat.

Today’s battles have paid off well for the Syrian troops who were capable of recapturing 4 villages inside the pocket, thus reducing the distance to Uqayribat to only 10 km.

Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian jets conducted non-stop airstrikes against ISIS positions in order to pop up the ground invasion.

The Islamic State is increasingly losing ground to the Syrian Army and allied forces in the stretching Syrian desert.
