Syrian Army expands control along borders with Jordan

Battles continue along the Syria-Jordan borders as Syrian government troops recapture more positions from US-backed rebels.

Today, the Syrian Army, backed by allied forces, took over several border outposts following fierce battles with the FSA-affiliated fighters, thus reaching the administrative borders of Rif Dimashq governorate from the southeast.

The recent advance puts the Syrian forces inches closer to the US base in Tanf border crossing.

In a related context, the US-backed Ahmad al-Abro brigade shot down, yesterday, a Syrian fighter jet and captured the pilot alive.
