Rebels fail to advance against ISIS in southern Syria [+ Video]

Rebel fighters in the southern Syrian province of Daraa began, yesterday, a major offensive against ISIS-affiliated militants in the western countryside of the province.

Led by the FSA’a Southern Front, rebels used heavy fire power and attempted to advance into areas controlled by Jaish Khalid Ibn al-Waleed; resulting in fierce battles with the extremist militants.

Even though a senior FSA leader declared 20 ISIS militants dead in the attack, rebels’ attempts to advance have been foiled with ISIS jihadists desperately defending their bastion.

In the meantime. Pro-rebel social media accounts mourned 15 rebels who have been killed in the failed offensive.
