ISIS loses another town in east Homs

The Islamic State continues to lose more areas in the eastern countryside of Homs amid the sweeping advance of the Syrian Army.

Yesterday, the Army troops, backed by allied forces, were capable of imposing full control over several strategic hilltops which overlook the town of el-Taebah located just to the north of the former ISIS stronghold of Sukhnah.

This eventually allowed a sweeping ground invasion whereby the government forces fully recaptured the town.

The fall of el-Taebah will more likely result in another besiege for the ISIS militants stationed in the northwest of Sukhnah. Earlier, the government forces succeeded in encircling ISIS jihadists in a large pocket east of Salamiyah city.
