ISIS claims responsibility for Surgut stabbing attack

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the stabbing attack in the Russian city of Surgut which took place on Saturday, August 19.

The terror group’s official media mouthpiece, Aamaq Agency, said that one of its soldiers carried out the attack in retaliation of the airstrikes conducted by the Russian Air Force against ISIS positions in Syria.

Yesterday, a man went on a stabbing spree in the city of Surgut wounding 8 people before shot dead by the police.

According to officials, the identity of the assailant has been revealed and found suffering serious psychological problems.
