WATCH: Russian escort fighters scare-off NATO jet shadowing DM's aircraft

Footage has been released showing the moment Russian escort fighters scared-off a NATO jet that was intrusively shadowing the aircraft of Russia’s defense minister over the Baltic Sea.
The footage (shown below) documents a NATO forces F-18 jet (country unspecified) moving to within cannon-range of defense minister Sergey Shoigu’s aircraft before a Russian escort fighter aggressively chased it off.

The Russian pilot undertaking the barge-off move seems to have been ready to collide if necessary and the NATO F-18 fighter can be seen hastily breaking away in a rather panicked state of flight.
It is currently unknown why the intrusive NATO aircraft was ordered (assuming it was ordered) to shadow the Shoigu’s aircraft at such an obviously unacceptable range.
