Preceded by another popular tank, the T-54, the T-55 tank almost matches the popularity of the Kalashnikov rifle, according to the National Interest.
The T-55 tank has features that make it the most popular tank, the most important of which is ease of use, simplicity of operation and efficiency.
The Russian T-55 main battle tanks introduced in the years following the Second World War, and have been involved in many of the world's armed conflicts since the later part of the 20th century, but remain in use by up to 50 other armies worldwide.
The T-55 was designed to fight in circumstances of using nuclear weapons. It is equipped with nuclear protection system and anti-armor ballistic protection system.
