Turkish Defense Minister Khulosi Akkar on Thursday threatened Kurdish militants in east of the Euphrates to “bury them in their trenches”.
“When the right time comes, these terrorists will inevitably be buried in their holes,” Khulusi was quoted as saying by news agencies.
“There are tunnels dug in Manbaj and east of the Euphrates, but it will not stand in the way of Turkey’s intention to eliminate the hotbeds of terrorism there”
The Turkish Defense Minister stressed that “We now got Manbij and eastern Euphrates, we are working intensively on this issue.”
The Turkish army on Wednesday sent new military reinforcements to border with Syria after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his intention to launch a new military campaign against Kurdish militants in areas of eastern Euphrates.
