Map update: Syrian troops eradicate ISIS in Euphrates western bank as final victory looms

The Syrian forces gain momentum day-by-day beating the Islamic state jihadists in several areas across the oil-rich province of Deir Ezzor.

Spearheaded by the Tiger Forces – on Wednesday – the army troops managed to link up with the allied forces, liberating large areas in their way towards the recently taken city of Al-Bukamal.

With the whole western flank of the Euphrates river is completely liberated, the ground troops are considering next push in the last ISIS pocket in southwest the embattled province.

What’s more, The Russian Defense Minister Sergei shoigu has reported a complete victory over Daesh terrorists in the east and west banks of the Euphrates in Syria, President Putin announced.
