Gulf State forces arrive in Syria to fight ISIS – report

A report has been leaked by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor group claiming that military elements of an unidentified Gulf State nation recently arrived into territory controlled by US-backed forces in eastern Syria.

The report, claiming to cite ‘reliable sources’ and also presented on RT Arabic claims that whilst the specific nation of the Gulf State force that arrived cannot be confirmed, the drivers in the military convoy were noted to have been speaking Arabic when passing through checkpoints controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Despite vagueness within the report, the authors go on to state that the unidentified Gulf State force arrived near the front-line area against ISIS in southeast Syria before departing 72 hours later.

From this, the report concluded that Gulf State forces may now get involved in a future operation by the US-led Coalition and SDF to finish off ISIS terrorists in south-eastern Syria.
