Press reports confirmed that an American citizen who was detained in the Damascus countryside was found.

Initial investigations revealed that the female was a person claiming to be an American citizen but did not have any documents confirming this.

The sources denied that this person is the American journalist Austin Tice, who is missing in Syria.
