Putin To set a civilian as the new Minister of Defense in Russia , who is ?

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to replace his long-standing ally Sergei Shoigu as defence minister, according to state news agency reports.
Mr Shoigu, who has served as minister since 2012, is to be appointed the head of Russia’s Security Council, according to a decree posted on the Kremlin website.
Papers published by the upper chamber of the Russian parliament said Andrei Belousov will replace Mr Shoigu.
Peskov explained Putin’s decision to appoint Andrei Belousov a civilian official to the post of head of the Ministry of Defense by the need to introduce innovations.
It is important to fit the economy of the power bloc into the country’s economy so that it corresponds to the dynamics of the moment, Peskov noted.
Andrei Belousov was :

▪️From 2013 to 2020 – Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.
▪️From January 21, 2020, he was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
