HTS spokesman killed as Syrian army hits militant positions in southern Idlib

The official spokesman for the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group has reportedly been killed after Syrian government forces struck positions belonging to foreign-sponsored militants in the southern part of the country’s troubled northwestern province of Idlib.

Local media outlets reported that Abu Khalid al-Shami died along with Abu Mus’ab, the media relations coordinator of the militant group, on Thursday.

The Arabic-language Sham FM radio station reported that the pair were killed after Syrian army artillery units pounded terrorists holed up in a mountainous area of al-Ziyanah region.
