BREAKING || Syrian Army forces ISIS to retreat in south Syria
Information has been released by field sources regarding a Syrian Army advance against ISIS militants in southern Syria’s Al-Safa region.
According to the report, the Syrian Army managed to push ISIS fighters back some 1.5 kilometres in the Sheikh Hussain graveyard area of Al-Safa.
Syrian forces were able to make the advance after breaking the terrorist group’s lines with heavy shelling from tanks, howitzers and Gulan rockets.
At the moment, Syrian troops are fortifying their new gains in order to repel any ISIS counter-attacks.
Recently, the Syrian Army and allied forces snatched the remaining Druze hostages that were held by ISIS in Al-Safa. Since then, slow but steady progress has been made towards physically clearing the remaining areas of the region still under the terrorist group’s control.
