Syrian Army launches nation-wide sweeping campaign, captures hundreds of weapons [PICTURES]

The Syrian Army has launched a nation-wide sweeping campaign, capturing huge load of weapons and ammunition in multiple provinces across the war-torn country.

The state-run news agency of SANA published several pictures on its website showing big amount of  ammunition, including missiles and machine-guns, that had been left behind by terrorists in several areas.

While sweeping out the towns in Eastern Ghouta and the countryside of Daraa, Quneitra, Homs, and Hama, the authorities uncovered hideouts containing large amounts of weapons, ammo, and various types of shells left behind by terrorists.” SANA reported.

Among the captured weapons, the Syrian troops managed to seize two Steyr sniper rifles, a number of assault rifles, hunting rifles, mortar launchers, in addition to tank, artillery, RPG, and mortar shells, large amounts of 14.5, 23, and 12.7 machine-gun ammo, assault rifle ammo, satellite communication devices.
