Russia’s Su-57 stealth fighters conduct operations in Syria (Video)

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released a video showing part of the operations of its Su-57 stealth fighter whilst 2 to 4 of the aircraft were briefly based in Syria.

The arrival of the fifth generation fighter to Syria caught the entire world’s attention and drew commentary not just from Russian and Syrian observers, but also commentary from observers in Western country as well as the US-led Coalition.

The conditions by which the fighter was in Syria remained vague since the fighter is still not fully cleared for operational service – some said it was part of a pre-operational testing practice, other said it was a political statement by Putin.

According to some reports, Su-57s did engage in limited combat operations over Syria during their brief stay, with one apparently firing a bomb-bay loaded cruise missile.
