Breaking: Militants launch chemical weapon attack on Aleppo in Syria, huge casualties
Militants in Syria have launched a chemical weapon attack on government-held areas of Aleppo city according to emerging reports from the war-torn country.
Preliminary reports say that rockets with chemical warheads fired by militant groups based in the countryside outside Aleppo struck government-held residential areas in the city’s western suburbs.
At the time of this report, there are a reported 37 casualties, how many exactly have died is unclear. Injury cases are reported to include suffocation and eye pain.
it is believed that chlorine was the weaponized chemical agency used in the attack.
Earlier this week, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that militant groups in northern Syria were moving weaponized chemical substances into position throughout the provinces of Hama, Idlib and Aleppo in preparation for a provocation attack against Syrian government forces.
