US Reinvigorates Military Base in Hasaka

The US military has sent another convoy of troops and equipment to its base in Northwestern Hasaka to reinforce its build-up in Northern Syria an Arab media report said Thursday.

The Arabic-language al-Manar news channel reported on Thursday that a new US coalition was sent to the regions occupied by the Washington-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Northwestern Hasaka.

It added that the convoy consisted of military weapons and equipment and other logistics and building stuffs which entered the US base in Tal Baidar region.

The US Forces have been setting up more military bases in Hasaka province amid tensions between civilians and the Kurds, the report said.

The Arabic-language al-Manar news website reported last month that the US-led coalition had resumed building two more military bases in the village of Jam’aya East of the town of Qamishli as well as areas West of the town.

It further said that the US military had set up a base at the Eastern entrance of the town Qamishli and also established a permanent base in the small town of Himo at the Western entrance of the town.

The website reminded that a sum of 13 Syrian soldiers were killed in an ambush operation by the Kurdish militias in Qamishli recently.
