WATCH: Turkish-backed fighters brutally torture Syrian civilians in Afrin [video]

Video footage shows Turkish-backed fighters, who control Afrin in the countryside of Aleppo, torturing people from the region, which includes dozens of Kurdish villages.

One of the recordings shows armed men interrogating a citizen under heavy torture in front of the camera, the video publisher said the gunmen sent the video to the citizens’ families and demanded a ransom for his release.

Activists accused militants of the “Ahrar Al Sharqiya” and “Sultan Murad” of abducting, torturing citizens and sending recordings to their relatives to pressure them to pay a ransom of up to $ 25,000.
