Kuwaiti-origin citizens fight for ISIS in Idlib – Local newspaper

Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper reported that 15 Kuwaitis belonging to the terror group of the Islamic state (ISIS) operating in the northern province of Idlib.

Security sources told the newspaper that the ISIS-belonging Kuwaiti elements had left the country between 2014 and 2015 to fight in its ranks.

Explaining that the security services will continue their movements immediately after they leave Syria to arrest and carry out judgments of 10 to 15 years in prison after being convicted in absentia of “crimes of hostilities and training to carry arms and join a prohibited organization.”

For the Kuwaitis who were killed during the battles in Iraq and Syria, the newspaper pointed out that the security services issued arrest warrants and circulated leaflets against them at the International Police because Kuwait failed to obtain official documents of their deaths.
