ISIS surprisingly attacks US base in Southeast Syria

Group of the self-proclaimed Islamic state (ISIS)  has attacked a US-backed militants outpost near the strategic base of Al-Tanaf that stationed along the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Opposition media of “Stepagency” reported on Saturday quoting a rebel commander as saying: one of Jaish Al-Maghaweer outposts was struck by 5 suicidal assaults this morning. However, ISIS attack was foiled killing all militants, with no casualties”

The IS suicide mission took place in a parallel with military drills carried out by the US-Led coalition forces inside the bordering area of “55km area”, the agency said.

Nevertheless, activists from Al-Tanaf area told the stepagncy that several casualties were occurred among the rebel fighters while defending the IS offensive.
