Syria map: Syrian troops split ISIS pocket following swift advance in Sweida desert
The Syrian government troops have made fresh advancement against the self-proclaimed Islamic state (ISIS), gaining new swath of lands in Sweida desert.
Reports from the Syrian military emerged that ISIS-controlled area extending between Tulul Al-Safa in the south and Tulul Raghilah in the north, were divided into two small parts after liberating several areas [check out the map].
“Dozens of terrorists were killed and injured due to the Syrian Army offensive, destroying multiple vehicles too” Military source said on Thursday.
At the meantime, the combat troops stationed around Al-Safa plateau are working on tightening the noose around ISIS, foiling any attempt to break out.
