Syrian Army officially secures bordering outposts with Jordan

Syrian Army has officially secured all the bordering outposts with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, state-media reported on Thursday.

The 370-km-length of borders were completely returned to safety following the considerable Syrian Army progress in Daraa province, and finishing the terrorism (ISIS) presence in the area.

The Syrian government studies nowadays to reopen the international highway with Jordan that was closed since the beginning of the Syrian war.

Ali Hammoud, in an interview with Reuters on Monday, said the Syrian government had yet to receive any request from Jordan to reopen the crossing. “The road is ready to function, and accordingly we are studying the reopening of the crossing,” he said.
