Exclusive pictures: Huge Russian naval fleet reaches Lattakia’s coast

The aim of sending Russian warships to Syria according to the former commander of the Baltic Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Valuyev, is “to counter a possible US missile attack on the positions of Syrian government forces.”
The Admiral said that “the deployment of Russian warships in this region is consistent with the country’s military doctrine and aims to guarantee the security of Syria.”
The Russian fleet includes 10 ships, including the Marshal Ostinov cruiser and the anti-submarine Severomorsk, as well as two submarines. and more of these ships are equipped with Kaliber missiles.
