VIDEO: Ex-rebel militants join Syrian Army’s battle for Idlib
Hundreds of reconciled fighters (Ex-rebel militants) have joined the ranks of the Syrian army in the military operation they will soon launch to clear the Idlib province from the terrorists.
The Syrian army has brought fighters from those who have made reconciliations and settlements with the Syrian government to participate in the upcoming battle, local media reported.
Local newspaper quoted opposition media outlets as saying that “the Syrian army had brought in former militia fighters who had made peace with the Syrian state in the eastern Ghouta, Deraa and others, including 400 fighters from the northern Homs countryside.”
Moscow said that the de-escalation zones agreement around Idlib does not apply to terrorist groups, adding that “the Syrian army has the right to eliminate terrorism in all Syrian territory.”
