Yarmouk camp agreement comes into effect as Kufrayya and Fua'a residents refuse to leave
On Tuesday, the Al-Eis crossing in the southern Aleppo countryside witnessed the entry of Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) militants from the Yarmouk camp in Damascus to the countryside of Idlib as part of recently-reached agreement with the government.
In the early hours of the morning, several buses carrying HTS militants leaving the camp arrived at the El-Eis crossing south of Aleppo, which is the main focus of the exchange process. The buses included 200 militants along with their families. meanwhile, Three ambulances arrived from Kufrayya and Fua’a went directly to Aleppo University Hospital to provide the necessary medical treatment.
At 10:30 am, the bus transporting people who were kidnapped by the terrorist groups arrived from the village of Eshtarb in rural Idlib, The bus carrying 42 people, all women, children and the elderly.
In a related context, a local source from the village of Kufrayya in rural Idlib, confirmed that the people, are still refusing to leave the two towns under the current circumstances, noting that the people consider themselves outside the agreement unless the conditions are met which they put out for their departure.
The source pointed out that the most important conditions set by the residents centered on the exit in one batch instead of going out in 2 batches, in addition to providing guarantees for their safety on the road and their safe access to the city of Aleppo.
