Map update: SDF, Iraqi forces snatch bordering village from ISIS in eastern Syria
Recently, a joint operation launched by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Iraqi military in east of Euphrates river of Deir Ezzor in order to combat ISIS terrorists there.
First gains was reported on Sunday, when the Iraqi and SDF forces were capable to capture the bordering village of Baghuz that located near Al-Bukamal city in eastern Deir Ezzor province.
Yesterday, the SDF managed to reach the Syrian-Iraqi border and meet the Iraqi forces that came from the western outskirts of Al-Qaem city.
During the past few days, the Iraqi air-forces conducted several airstrikes against suspected ISIS targets inside the Syrian territories, as they reported to neutralize dozens of terrorists, destroying their bases in Deir Ezzor province.
