100 killed as result of recent rebel infighting in Idlib, Hama provinces
The Al-Nusra front, “Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham”, on Sunday, launched a fierce attack on the positions of the “Liberation Front of Syria” and was able to control the many sites and strategic towns in the countryside of Hama and Idlib .
Opposition sources confirmed that “HTS” took control over the entire city of Khan Sheikun in the countryside Idlib, and advanced towards the strategic town of Morek and managed to snatch it from “Liberation Front of Syria” after battles, leaving more than 100 dead between the two major parties.
According to unofficial social media accounts of the Al-Nusra front, the fighters of the HTS expelled the “Liberation Front of Syria” militants from the towns of Hayish, Sakhin, Sheikh Damas, Kfarmsada, Madaya, and Amiriya in the southern countryside of Idlib.
The HTS first attacked the Liberation Front of Syria, a week after reaching an agreement between the two parties to end the fighting between them, but the mediator between the conflicting parties said that the HTS is the one who broke the agreement.
