Syrian forces prepare for offensive to capture strategic area in northern Hama from terrorists
The Syrian Amy and allies are preparing for a big assault to restore control over the strategic Tell Sakhr hilltop in northern Hama Governorate.
Government forces want to take the hill because it means that they will be able to fully secure nearby Kurnaz town with fire control which was captured by militants for a brief time on Wednesday.
Fire control by the holding of Tell Sakhr will also allow Syrian forces to attack nearby terrorist supply lines with artillery and machine guns.
Tell Sakhr was captured by the terrorists of Ahrar al-Sham in March 2017. The Syrian Army expects the hilltop be heavily fortified after 1 year.
