Domino Effect: rebel-held towns in southern Idlib increasingly fall to Syrian Army (MAP)
Backed by the Syrian and Russian air-forces, The government troops keep marching on southern Idlib countryside, battling the extremist group of Hayat Tahrir Al-sham (HTS).
Spearheaded by the battle-hardened troops of the Tiger Forces, the Army managed to liberate 7 hamlets and hilltops northeast of ‘Abu Dali’ town in southern Idlib.
Following this advancement, the government is 21 km distance to reach the strategic airbase of Abu Adduhur, while 5 km to the key Sinjar town that seen as main bulwark of HTS jihadists.
The Army also made push – yesterday – liberating 3 villages in southern Idlib.
