BREAKING MAP: Syrian Army converges on rebels in south Aleppo, gains new town
The Syrian units in coordination with allied forces continue rolling on jihadists held areas in the southern countryside of Aleppo, liberating new sites.
The Syrian military reported – on Wednesday – that the combat troops managed to regain control over the town of “Battha” following intense engagement with the rebel groups.
According to the UK-based observatory, The Syrian army and its allies are within 5 km from Abu Dahour military airport.
The Observatory pointed out that the convergence of the allies that coming from Tall Damman -Alhader axis with the army forces stationed near Abu Dahour Airport, allows it to block more than 85 villages in the provinces of Idlib, Aleppo and Hama.
Yesterday, the army troop were able to liberate key mountaintop to the west of Tall Damman in south Aleppo.
