Syrian Army inches closer to major Al-Qaeda stronghold in reef Hama

The units of the Syrian army and allied forces continue military operations in the northeastern Hama countryside with the aim of eliminating the terrorists’ presence.

Field sources confirmed to Muraselon that the Syrian army has been carrying out – since yesterday – military operations storming Shakosiya towards Al-Rahjan; the largest strongholds of HTS in eastern Hama.

According to the same sources, the Army has earlier made fresh advancement in the southern, eastern vicinity of Al-Rahjan farms and the surrounding area amid Russian airstrikes.

Recapturing the Syrian defense minister’s town of Al-Rahjan is considering a big victory for the government troops as it was taken 3 years ago by the jihadists groups.
