Authorities foil terrorist car bomb attack on Damascus outskirts

Authorities foiled on Thursday a terrorist car bomb attack on the southern outskirts of Damascus City.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that authorities tracked down a car without plates and was driven by a terrorist suicide bomber on the road of the Southern Highway.

The source added that authorities encircled the Hyundai car and exploded it near al-Lawwan Bridge before reaching the western entrance of Damascus city, killing the terrorist suicide bomber without any human causalities.

SANA’s delegate to the site said that the explosion resulted in completely destroying the car and limited material damage to the site.
