Syrian Army converges on jihadists in Golan Heights enclave
On Saturday, The government troops – led by the 4th armored division – stormed the Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) positions in Western Ghouta region after days of air bombing.
The Syrian units managed to seize the hilltops of Tal Al-Dab’ah and Lisan Al-Sakhar, giving the government fire control over the jihadist supply lines between Beit Tima and Kafr Hawar villages, a military source stated.
Recently, Pro-rebel media reported that helicopters of the Syrian Air Force has dropped barrel bombs on Beit Jinn, a town controlled by jihadi militants on the foothills of Mount Hermon.
Al-Qaeda Syrian branch; Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham has been for years controlling the towns bordering the occupied Golan Heights, using them as a launch pad for deadly attacks against the government forces.
