Syria map update: Syrian Army gains new ground from ISIS in Deir Ezzor

Following fierce battles against the extremist group of the Islamic state, The Syrian forces have taken another town in southeastern the embattled city of Deir Ezzor.

On Monday afternoon, military source cited that the Syrian army – backed by allies – engaged with ISIS in Hatlah Al-Sharqiyah located on eastern side of the Euphrates River, managed to restore the village, and scored heavy losses.

In Al-Mayadeen city, the combat forces continue in urban warfare against the ultraconservative organisation, repelling deadly suicide attacks by 2 VBIEDs as SANA earlier reported.

SANA also said that 10 jihadists were killed by the failed ISIS offensive against SAA positions in almayadeen.
